We are waiting in a huge line to get into the ball. It is good
practice for tomorrow. Sen. Burros's niece's husband is in line with
us. And a bagpiper. Everyone is in a very jovial mood.

I wish that everyone I know who worked so hard to make this historic event a reality could join us in Washington DC for this celebration. I don't know how easy or difficult it will be to post once we join the millions of others who are converging on our nation's capital for the inauguration of Barack Obama, but I will try to give you an idea of what we're experiencing as we're experiencing it if I can.
As bad as Grant Park? At least it looks like you're indoors.
ReplyDeleteIs the bagpiper actually playing? If so, I would guess that the jovial mood won't last much longer. :) Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteAmy did you say, "Sen. Burros's niece's husband"!!!??? Please get an autograph if his secret service detail isn't too forceful.
ReplyDeleteEagerly awaiting this momento
